Above all, our team love animals - they are very knowledgable and highly trained to take care of every domestic pet.
The Hydegate Pet Resort and Care Centre sets the highest standard for Boarding Kennels and Catteries. Based in Uley, near Dursley, we have clients throughout Gloucestershire, easily accessible from nearby towns such as Stroud, Stonehouse, Tetbury, Nailsworth, Yate, Bristol, Quedgeley, Cirencester, Gloucester and Cheltenham. Our unique approach ensures that each pet has a happy and healthy stay.
Detailed description:
Daily checks of eyes, ears, paws, teeth etc ensures that your dog stays in tip top condition and any health concerns can be immediately dealt with.
Daily monitoring of weight ensures that your dog is not gaining or losing too much weight. If we spot that this is happening to your dog, we will adjust his diet accordingly.
5 minutes daily grooming ensures you dogs coat is kept in the condition you are used to. If your dog has a long coat he may require additional grooming sessions.
But most of all its FUN! Your dog will enjoy his exciting one to one experiences. It stimulates his brain, keeps him healthy and gives him the cuddles and fuss he deserves! When you come to pick your dog up from his holiday we will talk to you about the health care checks and inform you of anything we have noticed or addressed during your dog's stay with us.
Our experienced team are backed up by our strong relationship with a number of local vets. We prefer to use a vet who will visit an unwell pet at Hydegate, as we feel this is much more beneficial to the pets in our care.
daily, one to one, 10 minute care session with a member of staff. This will include playing with toys, cuddling or grooming depending upon what is best for your cat.
Clean cosy beds.
Food. We have a variety of tinned and dry food. If you would prefer to bring your own food we would be pleased to discuss this with you.
Careful recorded daily monitoring of your cat's health and well being. The recorded information will be discussed with you when you come to pick your cat up.
The luxury kennel is separate from the other animal accommodation therefore it is able to accommodate cats or dogs. It is also the only accommodation that we know of, where you can put your cat and dog in together!
Our Golden Heart service is included as standard for the Luxury kennel. How the sessions are made up is entirely up to you. Again, if you wish, we can add further care sessions.

Miss rMy dogs Romeo & Rupert regularly have there hair done here. They are truly pampered and looked after to the very best standard. Only the best will do for my dogs!

Jan ThompsonWe were absolutely delighted with the level of care and kindness shown to our pets Barney, Jack, Boris and Colin. They were all happy and contented when we collected them. The daily health checks and reports were second to none; clearly demonstrating that all the staff really knew the animals well and genuinely enjoyed caring for them. We were really impressed to discover that one of Barney's checks showed a tiny growth by one of his eyes. We had never noticed this and it had only recently been discovered by our vet. This just demonstrates how thorough the care towards our pets was.
We would have no hesitation in using Hydegate again for both our cats and our dogs. A real golden find! Many thanks.
