The College Mission is: To inspire and enable outstanding, life-changing education and training to learners, employers and diverse communities. Our Part-time course guide contains an overview of the College's part-time programmes, including the tuition fees, resource or examination fees related to each course. If you are in receipt of a income-based benefit (e.g.
Income support, Job-seekers allowance, Housing benefit or in some cases Working Tax Credit) you may not have to pay any tuition fees (however some courses have additional resource or examination fees). Applications can be made to the Learner Support Fund (LSF) for people in receipt of a income-based benefit. If you apply to the Learner Support Fund (LSF) your exam fee may also be waived - please ask when you enquire with us. Hull College offers ‘Skills for Life' courses across all College sites, in the workplace and in the local community.
Our friendly and experienced staff can help you to brush up your maths and English and provide individually tailored programmes to help you gain qualifications necessary for employment and access to University. The classes are FREE to most learners and the skills learnt will assist in your everyday life, to support your children in developing these essential skills and to help progression at work or into new jobs. ESOL (English for Speakers of Other Languages) courses are for people who wish to improve their language skills and the College currently has students from over 100 different countries attending in session. Many Skills for Life students work towards nationally accredited qualifications and also progress to further programmes across the College.
