Visitors to our club can expect a warm Yorkshire welcome from our staff and members. The good taste of the 18th century and the wealth of the industrial 19th century combine to reflect the splendour of Fixby Hall making it one of the best appointed clubhouses in the country. It is home to the Yorkshire Union of Golf Clubs. In addition to the many Golf Societies who regularly play the course, we play host to corporate and charity golf days and to corporate meetings, private parties and weddings. Whether you are planning a fourball, a golfing party, business meeting, conference, function or a wedding, you are assured of a memorable time at Huddersfield Golf Club.

Fixby Hall makes a superb setting for a special occassionand our grand house, spectacular surroundings, and expert service make it a day to remember. The club house itself is a Grade II listed building of charm and character, and its rich history can be traced back as far back as the 18th Century.

Charles Dickens is reported to have been a visitor to Fixby Hall. You can opt for your reception for up to 120 guests to be held in the Centenary Hall or have a marquee on the extensive and attractive lawns at the front of the building and adjacent to the large terrace. The terrace is a delightful area for you and your guests to enjoy a pre-meal drink, Pimms or Champagne, for example, and a selection of canapés. It looks onto the club putting green, and when in bloom, the surrounding massive banks of rhododendrons offer a spectacular sea of pink.
