HSB Inspection Quality was formerly Central Inspection Services of ICI. Central Inspection Services were formed in 1947, thus we are able to offer more than fifty years experience of inspection of process equipment. Having become part of the HSB worldwide organisation, we are now able to provide the full range of Engineering Insurance Services including in-service inspections.
HSB Inspection Quality is certified by the United Kingdom Accreditation Services (UKAS) to ISO/IEC 17020 as a type “A” third party inspection body for the inspection, verification of design and certification of boilers, pressure vessels and associated pressurised systems.
Detailed description:
Vendor/Contractor surveys are undertaken in “advance of, or during” contracts at the request of our clients. The resulting confidential reports detail plant, equipment, premises, labour skills, management structure, turnover, quality and reliability.
HSB IQ are accredited by UKAS to undertake full design assessment in a third party independent body and a Notified Body under various directives for type/design approvals.
Using our comprehensive library, technical skills and information, together with in-house design software we are able to provide full assessment services.
We have extensive knowledge and experience of most manufacturers of all types of equipment for the petrochemical, process plant, pharmaceutical, power, brewing industries etc., and can give advice regarding the appropriate sourcing to meet you requirements.
New Construction Inspection with full certification as appropriate:
Comprising of stage and final inspections of all items of equipment including handling, drying, piping, rotating machinery, boilers, vessels, instrumentation and complex electrical and intrinsically safe electrical apparatus.
Inspection during site production and installation:
For all site manufacture and installations we can supply on site inspection services to cover the client and standard requirements.
HSB Inspection Quality are able to provide full services associated with Welding Procedure and Welder Qualifications.
Our Accreditation by UKAS covers European and American standards and our certificates are issued on SAFed (Safety Assessment Federation) documentation.
