a lovely cafe
hot customerI agree the Hot Mango is a lovely place to eat, and the bacon is to die for, it comes from a local butchers in Greenod.

DuncanI had a meeting in Barrow In Furness. After a long journey from Stafford a leg stretch and some food was what the Doctor ordered. The Hot Mango Cafe looked very nice from outside and the cafe was nearly full. The staff were all very neatly dressed and very pleasant and polite. We had a lovely home made soup, followed by a Lamb Burger in a lovely floured bap and the best side salad I have ever had in my life. Coffee was truly fabulous and we had some lovely cake to take away, the selection was excellent (9 cakes). I am responsible for the catering for a whole batallion of men and have over a fifty chefs under my wing. I can firmly recommend The Hot Mango Cafe and it will be a regular stop off from now on.

Olivia WalkerWe stopped off on our journey and had lunch at The Hot Mango Cafe. The place was bustling with diners and we just managed to find a table from a couple who were leaving. They fully recommended the cakes, much to my husbands delight. We had a lovley home made soup with large chunks of fresh bread and copious amounts of butter. A large slice of cake each and a superb latte and hot chocolate. It was so busy one of the cooks had to bring our meal out as the other 3 staff were busy with drinks etc. We can thoroughly recommend this cafe. We were too late for breakfast, but a customer on the next table said that they were fantastic and he came every Saturday for one. The locally produced bacon and sausages came from Galley Hall Rare Breeds and we were told that the bacon was to die for. We shall call again for breakfast very soon.

- Shane Dalgetty: We were staying in a self catering nearby. We asked where was the best breakfast in town. Directed to The Hot Mango. It was over half full at just after 9/30 and this was a Tuesday. We ordere a BIG breakfast each, toast was an extra, but it was a huge thick piece with lots of LURPAK on it. Hmmmm yummy. Bacon like I have never tasted and sausages that wre thick and lovley. I was told by the very helpful waitress that all the bacon and sausages comes from Galley Hall Farm Rare Breeds, the owners of Hot Mango. Well we had breakfast there for a week. Its a pity it is not open in evenings as the food on offer else where in town was not good. Pub food at its OK if hungry, not to go back another night though. For our journey home we took 2 sausage and 2 bacon chiabats - yes you guessed it from Hot Mango. Will see them all again next July. OH yes the soups are to die for, I have never tasted soup like their crab and swwetcorn etc .
