The Pearson family acquired the house in 1963 and with care, skill and professionalism have created an attractive hotel and stylish restaurant. The beautiful, old house has been the venue for many glamorous parties and romantic weddings. Over the years, there have been many celebs but the most famous of them all must surely be The Beatles who stayed here at the height of their fame in 1964 on John Lennon's birthday - and we still have the beds they slept in!

The imaginative use of colour and interesting fabrics gives each of the 38 bedrooms in the award winning extension a character of its own and several rooms have pretty canopied beds. There are split level suites and interconnecting family rooms and all rooms have bright, well equipped bathrooms with large fluffy towels and stylish toiletries. Every room is equipped with Yorkshire tea from Taylors of Harrogate, coffee making facilities, iron and ironing board, hairdryer, direct-dial telephone, voicemail, Wi-Fi internet connection and satellite TV.
