Short profile:
Alongside the National Curriculum we provide pupils with a range of creative and engaging activities particularly in Arts and Humanities. We have been part of an arts project called "Cov Cool Kids" which has focused on drama, music and dance. The school is proud that children describe learning as "fun and exciting". All children go on educational visits to enhance their learning and from Year 3 onwards are invited to go on residential experiences in this country, Wales and in France.
We have been part of a Comenius project which has enabled children to meet teachers and children from France, The Netherlands and Slovakia and find out more about life in these countries. Children have used ICT to make a DVD about life in Coventry which we have sent to the European schools.
We offer pupils an extensive range of after school and holiday activities including various sports, study skills, drama and dance. We also have a breakfast club which many pupils attend before school.We also have a new project called "One Body One Life" which aims to encourage inactive children to adopt a healthier lifestyle.
Children are able to learn guitar, recorder, African drums, Asian musical instruments and keyboards.
