Hindleys Bakery is a traditional family run bakery. We bake fresh daily on-site at the back of our shop and cafe in the centre of Lichfield, Staffordshire.
We are a family run traditional bakery in the centre
of historic Lichfield, Staffordshire. Today the business
is led by brother and sister team, Duncan Hindley
and Jackie Beaumont. We are the fourth generation
of the family to work within the business since it was established by our great grandfather in 1893.
We have been at our present site in the centre of Lichfield since 2007, when we renovated a three
storey historic building in Tamworth Street into a self contained working bakery. Here we work with our
small team of skilled and dedicated bakers producing quality handmade bread, cakes and biscuits.
Detailed description:
Our bread and cakes are a unique combination of traditional recipes handed down through the generations and new product innovations by Duncan. We realise that peoples tastes are constantly changing, so we have to work hard developing new flavours and textures that we can incorporate into our range.
It is very important to us as traditional bakers that our customers trust us to deliver consistently high quality products. Whether it's a Farmhouse Loaf or a SunDried Tomato & Olive Bread.
REAL bread & cakes. So much of what you buy today has been made and baked in big factories and warmed up before being labelled "local/fresh." This is not our approach, we bake from scratch each day. Bread, cakes, shortbread biscuits, they are all handmade at our
bakery shop in Lichfield.
