Short profile:
There are many varied activities available to the children at lunchtime and after school.
After school clubs rotate and include computer, gardening, sports, gymnastics, drama, football, art, music.
We take part in local tournaments with other schools: Rugby, football, netball, swimming, cross country.
We work closely with the local schools sports parnership to promote activities.
Pyramid initiatives are held for Year 6 annually around the issues of Food for Fitness and Feel Good.
There are master classes in ICT and Mathematics at the local High School for Year 2, Year 4 and Year 6.
Visits and visitors enhance the curriculum. These include museums, around the local area and visits further afield. In KS2 there are biennial environmental and adventure residential visits.
Opportunities in Rowan Class to run the school tuck shop.
Peripatetic music lessons in a wide variety of instruments are available.
Saturday morning music school activities at the High School are used by pupils.
All children from year 4 onward have the opportunity to play handchiles in ensemble.
There are after school sports club at the High School which our children attend.
