Short profile:

Pupils are given access to a wide and balanced curriculum. Visits to outside establishments, talks from guest speakers and access to after school activities bring variety and interest to pupil learning. The School has resisted the increasing trend to replace a P.E. lesson with another subject. All pupils have access to a period of 'Games' and a period of P.E.

and can take advantage of weekly swimming lessons. Pupils in years 5 and 6 attend weekly tennis and golf lessons. There are after school clubs for netball, football, tar-rugby, table-tennis, cricket, gymnastics, dance and athletics. Activities provided for Performing Arts include improvisation, acting in short plays, singing and dancing.

In addition all pupils take part in Class Assemblies. Pupils watch visiting Theatre groups which usually provide a science or history theme. The teaching of sport and performing arts, has empowered children with the confidence, self-respect and esteem to become high all round achievers. The School also provides activities for those pupils interested in ICT and Latin and offers a Homework Club and Booster Lessons.
