The Herts Mind Network (HMN) aims to promote positive mental health and assist recovery from mental and emotional distress by meeting the needs of individuals, enabling them to make informed choices and take control of their lives.
We aim for our services to:
be accessible to anyone irrespective of where they live in Hertfordshire; provide safe and effective care; promote social inclusion; encourage active involvement from users and carers; promote early intervention.
Detailed description:
Supporting someone you care about can take a toll on your mental health. It can be emotionally demanding leading to stress and more serious mental distress. Our Carers support groups offer time out from the caring role, giving the opportunity to share experiences and information which can reduce feelings of pressure and isolation.
Our Hertfordshire based service offers one-to-one counselling providing an opportunity to gain insight and understanding in a safe therapeutic environment to enable the client to improve their quality of life. Services are available in Hemel Hempstead, Watford and Ware.
Learning opportunities in subjects such as: art, craft, IT, creative writing and more.
A variety of exercise, relaxation, and outside activity groups with the focus on healthy living.
Offering people opportunities to make friends and expand their social networks through a varied programme of activities, including evening and weekend meetings.
