The bakeries provide a comprehensive range of home-baked bread, confectionery and savouries which include both vegetarian and meat pies and pasties to satisfy the heartiest ofappetites.

Herby’s the locally owned, family-run business, has been nominated for the prestigious Delicatessen and Fine Food Association’s “Deli of the Year” award in the independent category for their splendid new store in Ferensway.

If you visit the store, in the deli you will find an extensive range of hams, meats, cheeses, fish, salamis and salads as well as authentic ethnic foods. The store also incorporates an in-store bakery producing genuine French sticks and croissants (imported from Paris) as well as a range of Belgian chocolates; a butcher’s department that sells only lean meats trimmed to perfection: a full take-away service and fruit and vegetables market-fresh daily.

The rear of the 5000 sq.ft. store features the ice-cream parlour and a stylish 26-seat Continental Cafe where you can relax in the pleasant atmosphere and enjoy a fine select ion of salads, snacks or hot meals at very reasonable prices.
