Deli York is the online version of Henshelwoods Delicatessen on Newgate Market in the thriving centre of historic York.

From our vantage point overlooking the daily market we source the finest and freshest local and seasonal produce to go in to our daily specialities. Coupled with this, we source the very best ingredients and delicacies from around the world to fill our little corner of foodie heaven.

    When it comes to outside catering and lunchtime provisions, they are definitely the best in the city. Real professionals, great cooks and elegant waiters. You cannot get any better then this. The pastas they prepare are just… nom nom nom!

    We had a family get together with relatives from around the country. I wanted to impress them so I booked Henshelwoods Delicatessen for this special occasion. As I was expecting, the guests were more than pleased with the menu. The caterers were really easy to work with. I recommend them with all my heart.

    Everything they prepared for our wedding was amazing. I am super glad I had the chance to book them. The menu was just as perfect as I imagined it would be. They helped us choose the right wine to go along, as well as the champagne.

    They catered out company’ outside lunch with a diverse menu consisting in simple (yet delicious) sandwiches, as well as a very nicely presented gourmet buffet. The fillet rolls the caterers prepared was to die for.

    Henshelwoods Delicatessen are the true catering cuisine professionals in York. I found everything I needed for the patio party I planned in the deli. The food they sell and prepare is delicious. I just cannot get enough.
