Henry Street Garden Centre is an independently, family owned garden centre in Arborfield, near Reading. Situated in 40 areas of beautiful Berkshire countryside, we strive to ensure that we make your visit an enjoyable and memorable one. We have been growing roses for nearly 100 years and the garden centre is now in care of the 5th generation family – brothers Mark, Alan, Peter and Tim Goold.
Detailed description:
As well as specialising in growing roses and bedding plants, we offer an enormous selection of plants, trees, furniture and many other gardening and home products to suit every need.
The business was the creation of Mr. Henry Street at the beginning of the 1900s. Henry had three daughters, the eldest being Molly who married Reginald Goold. Together they continued rose growing at West End near Woking. The nursery was then taken over in the 1970s by Molly and Reg's son Henry. In 1985, we moved to Arborfield, where 'cleaner' soil and larger premises allowed for expansion and Henry's four sons, Mark, Alan, Peter and Tim to join the business. They now run the garden centre.
