Detailed description:
A broad range of curricular opportunities are available. The National Curriculum is taught in a creative and practical way. The school has a strong focus on investigational science and Physical Education which is supported by swimming in our own swimming pool on a weekly basis for all children from Year 2 to Year 6. We participate in regional football, athletics and swimming competitions.
The school offers children violin, cello, recorder and guitar tuition at lunchtimes.
The school provides many opportunities for outings, visitors to school, participation in local and national competitions. We make very good use of the richness of resources that London has to offer. Examples of outings include the Nursery going to the Science Museum, Reception to London Zoo, Year 1 to the local church, Year 2 to the Horniman Museum, Year 3 went to Hampton Court, Year 4 visited Wandsworth Police Station, Year 5 took part in the Thames River Study, Year 6 saw the proms at the Royal Albert Hall. Year 5 & 6 children also had the opportunity to go on School Journey or take part in an activity week.
All classes had special mental agility sessions with CBBC's Mr Numbervator. Mr Numbervator continues to work with KS2 pupils during and after school time.
