The name Hedingham & District was to refl ect on the directors keeness to show an extension of the original operating area.
The main attraction of the business has been the established route from Halstead to Colchester.
Steady expansion has followed with various acquisitions of other companies. Hedingham & District now operate 23 services throughout Essex with a modern fleet of low fl oor buses totalling 120 vehicles.
Carrying over 1, 000, 000 passengers a year for school, shopping, commercial and leisure.

Alex1Generally very good. 90% of the drivers are friendly and knowledgeable, and most of the buses are in a good condition, even the older VRs are maintained well. Most services are operated with low floor new buses.It is however, annoying that the coach excursions are being scaled back and the company focusing on bus services.
