Hear and Now is a confidential counselling service for all young people aged 11-18 who live, work or study in the Redbridge area. Our counsellors and therapists are all experienced professionals. They come from a wide range of backgrounds. All are qualified, experienced and accredited (or working towards accreditation) with the British Association of Counselling, the British Psychological society or the United Kingdom Council for Psychotherapy.
Detailed description:
Counselling involves talking about your feelings to someone who can help you make sense of them. Worries could be about relationships, sexuality, abuse or feelings of pressure; you may feel lonely or depressed or you may not be able to pinpoint what's wrong. The counsellor will listen to you and support you in finding ways of coping with issues.
No issue is too big or too small. We will offer an initial meeting, and then normally a time-limited period of counselling.
We do sometimes also offer longer term counselling.
