Short profile:

Anthony (Tony) has been working in the construction industry for 37 years. He started life as a construction trade apprentice with Dumbarton County Council. When this apprenticeship was completed in 1973 he moved on to the private sector being employed mainly on building sites for 9 years.

Detailed description:

He later took up a position as a Housing Inspector in 1982 with Clydebank District Council, and this is where he first took an interest in Health and Safety. While working as a Trade Union Safety Rep for N.A.L.G.O. during this time he had the opportunity to attend a thirteen week, TUC Health and Safety Course in Reid Kerr College and various other health and safety training courses organised by the Trade Union.
