Hypocrites known as the father of medicine wrote in the 5th century BC. “The physician must be experienced in many things but assuredly in rubbing, for rubbing can bind a joint that is too loose and loosen a joint that is too rigid.” The massage strokes are slow and rhythmic harmonising with breathing which encourages deep relaxation aided by warmed towels and music.
