Short profile:

The children have a rich and creative curriculum which they have opportunities to access both inside and within our extensive outside learning environment. The children are able to experience a wide variety of activities within all areas of the curriculum such as:-

learning about minibeasts in context

Maypole dancing in the Spring

local walks to the church, railway station, the windmill and woods 

topics on growing including gardening .

we have many visitors to the school to enrich the learning including local theatre groups, musicians etc

forest schools take place regularly for Key stage 1 children  

Topic work is enhanced through regular trips to places such as Woodsmill, Drusillas Park and the Bluebell railway.

We recognise the importance of first hand learning experiences and value regular visitors to enhance pupils learning.

After school clubs including French, Tennis, Kids Zone are held at the school. We also work with Brighton and Hove football club.

The school also provides enrichment activities such as:-

recent writing week involving parents workshops, puppets and book-making.

regular book weeks

taking part in the Big Draw

multi cultural week
