The Adult Division is one of three Divisions within North Staffordshire Combined Healthcare NHS Trust offering services to the local population.
The aim of the Adult Division is to deliver high quality, evidence-based care and in future to move to the cutting edge of excellence.
The Adult Division is committed to developing services which support recovery. To enable this to happen there is a strong emphasis on collaborative working with service users at all stages of assessment, care-planning and organisational development, and it is recognised that service users' goals can provide relevant outcome measures, alongside more formalised approaches.
Detailed description:
There are three acute wards that are based at the Harplands Hospital, they support people who have mental health difficulties and require hospital admission.
The Staff work closely with the Crisis Resolution/Home Treatment Team and other therapy teams based within the hospital to support people in their recovery.
The Crisis Resolution/Home Treatment Team along with the Community based teams visit the wards on a regular basis to assist people in their discharge from hospital.
Crisis Resolution/ Home Treatment Team -
The service aims to provide support to people with acute mental health problems who are experiencing severe difficulties when the stability of their mental health has been interrupted by crisis.
The aim of the Crisis Resolution Home Treatment team (CRHT) is to provide short term crisis intervention and/or home treatment to people to reduce the likelihood of them being admitted to mental health inpatient facilities.
