Harpenden Pre-School and Nursery is a beautiful converted Victorian house with lots of character, located on the edge of town on the main Luton Road and a 10-minute walk to Harpenden rail station. Our long-standing team deserve their reputation for creating stimulating and enjoyable activities to enable each child to develop to their full potential. So what will your child be doing? Maybe role-play, building blocks, leaping, singing, splashing paint, snuggling down with a book, whizzing down the slide, planting seeds, bug-hunting, fun with bikes, discovering all you can do with water or exploring the ICT equipment. A full day – all with plenty of laughter and wide-eyed wonder! There are French lessons for older children, and as we have families from a variety of cultural backgrounds, we have wonderful celebrations for different festivals.

Children also love our three big gardens surrounded by trees. To smooth the transition from home to nursery we offer free settling-in sessions and you will be allocated a key person who will build a strong relationship with your child and you as parents, meeting both of your needs. We email monthly newsletters as a valuable way to communicate with parents who may be too busy at drop-off or pick-up to hear everything that’s going on.

Staff members speak Greek, Latvian and Chinese Our fantastic chef prepares fresh, nutritious meals every day using food from trusted suppliers. She’s so talented she’s in demand for Asquith corporate functions too and trains other chefs. Food allergies and preferences can be catered for, including Halal and gluten and egg-free diets.
