The Council's corporate services cover many of the authority's legal responsibilities.

Each year we publish a range of documents that are required by law such as our statement of accounts and Best Value Performance Plan (BVPP). The BVPP shows how we are performing against the measures and targets that are set for councils by the Government.

In this section you can also find out about how to make a request under the Freedom of Information Act. Our publication schemes sets out the information that we can provide and how you can make a request to the Council. The information on data protection tells you about what information we are permitted to collect on you, how you can be assured that it is kept confidential and safe and under what circumstances we may share your information with other organisations.

Harlow Regeneration Unit’s aim is to develop a prosperous and sustainable local economy through partnership working.

Its key focus is co-ordinating and implementing the Harlow Regeneration Strategy. To this end the team works in partnership with a wide range of public, private and voluntary organisations on local economic development, education and training, social and physical regeneration and inward investment. It also deals with external funding opportunities, business support and capacity building within the local community.
