Harkess-Ord is a design, engineering and brand implementation organisation.

We specialise in helping clients extend brands to the built environment - where brands are touched and experienced.

At Harkess-Ord we recognise that great brands express an organisation’s values. We believe that these values need to be reflected not only in print and on screen, but also in a brand’s three-dimensional representation on, in and around buildings.

For 20 years we have been working with some of the world’s most respected companies and their brand agencies on bringing brands to life by delivering global signage, wayfinding and workplace branding solutions, which meet the physical standards of a brand’s aspiration.

Detailed description:

Through our offices in London, New York and Melbourne, we combine an innovative design, engineering and procurement approach with an established project and brand management process that allows central management of local brand implementations and transparent, tight cost control throughout the entire brand roll out cycle.

The result is a compliant, globally consistent brand experience at each and every touch point along all visitor and staff journeys.

Signage is probably the most visible and prominent element of a branded environment and as much as poor and inconsistent signage has a negative impact on brand experience, high quality, brand-led signage significantly increases brand impact and sustains brand experience.

Additionally, signage and wayfinding has become an important element of workplace innovation, where streamlined workflows, smart collaboration and simplified circulation improve creativity, decision making and efficiency.

Harkess-Ord translates brand strategies into workplace branding concepts and applies them to the global workspace, including receptions, office spaces, meeting rooms and even manufacturing halls and research laboratories. We create the overall look & feel of interiors, define brand zones and spaces, design brand messaging elements, define lighting, carpeting and furniture, and utilise the same procurement, logistics and implementation processes applied to global signage programmes.

Our consulting centres on extending two-dimensional strategies into three-dimensional spaces, and analysing brand zones, journeys and touch points.
