Happy Hounds grooming salon is run by Sonia Brown. The quality and care of the dogs are first priority and each dog is treated in a pleasant and caring environment so that the groom is an enjoyable experience. With every dog I will discuss with you the condition and type of their coat so to achieve the most suitable look for your dog. With the introduction of new crossbreed dogs all looks are considered, no rules!! We understand that dogs, like humans, have feelings too and all have their own individual personalities and needs. No animal caged or restrained unnecessarily beyond normal safe working practices.

From a show cut to the pet trim I take pride in the dogs, many of whom I have looked after for several years. I use only the latest high tech equipment. The drying cabinet partially open, as most dogs do not like being totally closed in. Grooming is by appointment, Monday to Friday and week nights! There is a cancellation list so sometimes grooming can be arranged at a short notice. We provide an excellent dog grooming service in a pet friendly atmosphere whilst ensuring our customers, both pet and owner, receive an exceptional experience in a safe, clean and calm environment. Happy Hounds sells not only home grooming accessories but have a wide range of all the latest clothing for dogs. Top brands are available such as Puchi, K9, Puppy Angel, Puppis and Rogz. Using these facilities, Happy Hounds has helped raise over 8, 000 pounds for Ulster Cancer Foundation, MacMillan Cancer and MS Foyle branch by putting on Dog Fashion Shows with the help of many of my four legged customers. All receive a spritz of odour cologne finishing spray leaving a fresh smell on the coat for days! Other treatments upon request:Bath and brush out, Nail clipping, Dry trim. During the bath your pet is treated to a full body massage where we check for lumps, bumps, bugs and any irregularities, and report this to the owner. EACH Full Service grooming includes: a relaxing hydrobath with a Pet Shampoo suited to your pet's coat A luxurious conditioning treatment; Blow dryed with a temperature controlled unit; Hair cut and Styled; Nails clipped and filed; Pads checked and dematted; Ears cleaned or plucked with antibacterial powder; Glands expressed if necessary; AND, of course, lots of love and HUGS!
