We skin test before each colour application. Our strict policy ensures you are protected from the devastating effects of colour allergy.

Hair Extensions are also available. This is a specialist service, and a consultation is required before booking to ensure the hair and scalp are able to support extensions. Book an extension consultation with our extensions specialist in order to access this service.

Our price list has different levels of prices to reflect the experience of the stylists. However, all stylists are trained in the same way and all stylists are fully trained in the services they offer.

Our aim is to please you, make you happy with your hair and create a hair cut which is easy for you to manage at home. Should we fail to do this, please come and tell us. We will listen to your concerns and do our best to meet your needs. All our hairdressers have high standards and want to be sure their clients are satisfied.

Hans Schneider came from his native country of Switzerland intending to stay in England for only one year. He liked the English people and the English way of life so much that he stayed on and founded Hans Hairdressers (Originally called ‘Mister Hans’) in 1971 at 48 High Street, Salisbury. Hans’ dream was to run the best salon in town. He believed passionately about high quality, doing the best you can and he wanted to be a different kind of boss, one who cared about his team.

The salon out grew the original premises and Hans had to start seeking new premises. He also brought his wife, Lesley into the business. Lesley had a teaching background, and developed an in-house training programme superior to any other local training. Lesley believed that hairdressers should have a complete and thorough training so they are able to perform all the skills of the trade, even if they choose to specialise later.
