Detailed description:

School visits: France, Spain, Holland, historical sites, Year 7 camp, theatres, Art galleries, Geography field trips, Science: the Zoo and @Bristol, University visits.

Lunchtime Clubs include art, sport, music, drama, dance and Christian Union. These are well-attended, often presenting work to the community. 

After-school activities include sporting teams, school productions, revision, homework and coursework clubs.

Before-school activities include sports and breakfast clubs. 

Holiday activities include a skiing trip, field trips and revision programmes.

The school offers Spanish or French, with gifted pupils able to take both at KS4 and 5. The proportion of pupils studying a language at GCSE in 2007-8 was 22%.

Curriculum options for KS4 include GCSEs in PE, Art, Music, Dance, Geography, History, RS, ICT, Technology: Food, Resistant Materials, Textiles; Spanish, French, Health & Social Care, BTec in Performing Arts, the new Diplomas, a 'Link' course with work experience for some pupils. Separate Sciences will be available from September 2008. Options at KS4 respond to pupil choice, with around 80% receiving first choices. At Post-16, A Levels/ Level 2 courses are available in over 40 subjects via the Kingswood Partnership.
