HAMSON Partnership has provided consultancy for some of the countries most prestigious historic buildings. Working with English Heritage, Local Authority Conservation Teams and other stakeholders our Surveyors have the experience to interpret and apply the core principles of conservation in the delivery of all of our building surveying services.

Building pathology remains a core skill for all our Building Surveyors and contributes to the majority of our services. We have qualified and experienced surveyors and service engineers who are regularly providing professional advice and reports on condition, disrepair and inherent defects associated with structure, fabric and building services installations.

We have considerable experience in undertaking, administering and/or project managing condition surveys of both small and large estates to support a range of corporate objectives including master planning, planned maintenance strategies, asset management plans and regulatory returns. Together with our complementary disciplines we are also able to integrate fire, safety and environmental components within the survey process to enable clients to demonstrate due diligence and further promote best value from the survey process. We also undertake quinquennial inspections for ecclesiastical buildings.

We are able to provide dilapidation advice for both landlords and tenants ensuring the effective application of the Civil Procedures Rules and relevant pre-action protocols. Our building surveyors prepare terminal and interim schedules together with repair notices and statements of claim while also undertaking the negotiation and/or defence of served dilapidations. We are also able to provide strategic advice on potential lease liabilities, responsibilities and costs.
