HAMBLE DISTRIBUTION LTD (DEPOT )

Hamble Distribution Limited has been supplying quality products at great prices since 1981. From initially specializing in hand tools we have developed and grown into one of the most recognisable brands in the trade and continue to represent high quality at a great price. Originally set up as a sourcing company for B & Q, Hamble diversified into the general import business in 1990, with the purchase of the Blackspur trade name and stock from the former Blackspur plc. In 2004, David Robertson and Adrian Hammond, Hamble’s Buying and Sales Directors respectively, purchased the company in a management buy-out. Hamble’s head office, financial and buying departments are based in Glasgow with our main distribution depot in Wolverhampton.

In August 2008 we completed the asset purchase of Munro Importers Ltd., based in Ipswich. This new addition to the business has brought us into a whole new market and has further widened the range we offer, for example telescopic ladders, petrol generators and petrol pressure washers. We continue to go from strength to strength and now very much see Hamble as a “one stop shop” offering a huge range of hand and power tools, garden and leisure products, fast moving electrical goods, housewares and a range of trade hand tools and construction products. Our ongoing commitment to offer our customers the best packaged products at the most competitive prices is as strong now as it was when we started 20 years ago.

A full re-branding programme, started in 2008 and completed at the beginning of this year, has given our ranges a superior, highly distinctive identity within the marketplace. We are suppliers to many of the UK leading retailers and we also have a very strong profile in the wholesale sector supplying well-known multiples as well as many premier independent companies.
