Halsford Park School serves a wide community within East Grinstead and is committed to providing the best education possible for all of our pupils.
Detailed description:
The school is very fortunate in possessing spacious accommodation and grounds, including two halls, libraries, an ICT suite, two playgrounds and large field. Early Years and Year 1 pupils have access to outside classrooms whilst Year 2 have large interconnecting classrooms to help develop their learning. Throughout the school we are developing a creative curriculum. There is a conservation area, pond and two trim trails. We have just developed a gardening area and outdoor classroom which all pupils use.
We are very proud of the outstanding range of extra curricular activities we offer, including netball, cross country, football, dance and relaxation. We join in with local and county level sports tournaments and Karate is offered by a local club and Squash by a local coach. Our paticipation in 'Dance Time', an annual schools community dance event, has been a feature of the past few years. Our school has achieved Eco Schools' Bronze Award, Artsmark, Travel Mark level 1 and is working towards Healthy School status.
The school has become part of The Mid Sussex Schools' Sports Partnership and our curiculum offers children at least 2 sessions of PE/sports activity a week and swimming in Key Stage 2. Back to top
