The Halcyon House occupies a prominent position within this imposing terrace, the oldest in Europe. On the slopes of the Calton Hill, following onto the Queens Park, we are situated in the eastern side of New Town, only ten minutes walk from Princess Street, the Scottish Parliament, St James Centre, Meadow Bank and Waverley Station. The Water of Leith, Botanic Gardens and Scottish Parliament are also nearby.
We are a short walk from the Playhouse Theatre and The Omni Centre which includes a multi screen cinema and many restaurants are all within easy walking distance.
Detailed description:
The Halcyon House has fourteen bedrooms, 12 with en suite with tea/coffee, radio/intercom, central heating and a very large lounge with television and use of our very pleasant gardens.
Special Diets are catered for on prior request.
Children are welcome. special rates are available for them up to the age of twelve years, after twelve they shall be classed as an adult..
Pets are welcome, they must be house trained, have their own blanket to lie on, not allowed on the room furniture. Must not be left unattended in the room, for a long period of time. Not allowed inside the breakfast room.
