GUILDFORD DAY NURSERY

So what will your child be doing at Guildford Day Nursery? Maybe role-play, building blocks, splodging paint, whizzing about on bikes, discovering lots to do with water and making music. A day full of laughter and learning. Our Baby and Toddler Room has a wide variety of sensory toys and activities, and we meet each baby’s routine to the best of our ability. Our busy Nursery Room has a creative and messy play area, construction area, home corner, and a cosy book area.

Our light, airy and spacious Pre-School Room has disabled access and is a stimulating environment where children can independently choose the games and equipment that interest them most. Planned activities emphasise early writing, maths, science and IT skills needed before starting school. Outside, our private enclosed garden is an extension of what we offer inside.

The garden incorporates a wildlife area, a book den, a role-play area, an undercover play area and flowerbeds where children can plant and grow flowers, fruit and vegetables. We are very much involved in the local community, enjoying good relationships with local schools, and frequently arrange educational visits from the Fire Service, Police and local doctors. We smooth transition from home to nursery with up to 6 weeks of settling-in sessions and our key-worker system means there is a familiar face specialising in the needs of each child and their parents.
