GUILDFORD ACTION FOR COMMUNITY CARE

Guildford Action is a registered charity that helps people going through crisis and chaotic issues, which may include housing, debt, isolation, relationship breakdown, mental health challenges, parenting skills, domestic abuse, employment and substance misuse. It runs three projects to meet the aim of supporting those in need, The Drop-in Centre for those suffering homelessness or low income, through practical support such as showers, clothing, food, laundry, access to primary healthcare (GP and District nurses regularly visit during the week).

The GAF (Guildford Action for Families) support service which supports isolated families with issues in the raising of children. Outreach to families own homes as well as community drop-in sessions to reduce isolation and increase confidence and parenting skills.

The Furniture Project which makes available furniture to those in need as well as keeping furniture away from landfill by also selling items to the general public.
