Guardian Professional is a commercial division of Guardian News & Media. We offer a range of products, services and bespoke communications packages to businesses and professionals working in media, education, environment and the public sector.

Conferences and events, advertising and sponsorship, digital and print publishing, syndication and rights, research and consultancy – our portfolio brings together a wide range of longstanding businesses with new ventures and acquisitions.

Our clients include national and local government, companies, charities and other organisations.

They come to us for practical solutions that help them to engage their target audiences effectively. We offer sector-specific skills, the latest technologies and, crucially, understanding of user groups as diverse as young children and senior civil servants.

We publish in print and online: key Guardian supplements, magazines and books. Our titles inform, educate and entertain the people who use them, as do our digital learning resources. Our events bring together the leading thinkers in the public sector, media, environment and education and set the agenda for the year to come.

Guardian Professional’s activities span the public, media and education sectors. As well as our work for clients in government departments, non-governmental organisations and the private sector we produce Guardian-branded projects.

We bring a flexible, creative approach to our clients’ projects. Our diverse skill sets cover advertising and sponsorship, conferences and events, digital publishing, print publishing and research – and we often combine several strands to create the right package for our clients.

Our portfolio includes syndication and rights management for the Guardian, the Observer and guardian.co.uk, and the remarkable digital archive of both newspapers that goes back to 1791. In 2007 we acquired Kable, a leading provider of public sector ICT research, publishing and events.
