Detailed description:
The school organises regular educational visits linked to the curriculum and longer residential courses are also taken by older pupils:
Year 2 spent three days at a creative arts residential at Dunfield House.
Year 4 spent a weekend at Standon Bowers Activity Centre.
Year 5 went on a Study Week in the Isle of Wight supported by project work.
Year 6 had a week's camping in Wales and will be going to France next year.
Indoor/outdoor sports are taught weekly with sports clubs available including girls' and boys' football; netball; rugby; 'Active Kids'; badminton; cricket and dance. We have links with Lode Heath Sports College, allowing us to use their facilities and expertise.
Guitar, violin, saxophone and flute lessons are available.
Year 6 pupils perform dramatic arts in conjunction with Langley Performing Arts College. Year 2 put on a Christmas panto, specially written for them. Other music/drama productions are performed by other year groups during the year.
Other clubs include Chess; Song Squad; Book Club and 'Imagineering'.
Book Club reviews selected titles throughout the year. It participates in selecting the winning authors and club members go to a presentation event where they meet and are able to question the authors.
