James Harry Green and his wife Anne started our family business in 1911. This was in the era when all cabinet furniture was made to order by local craftsmen.
Design was discussed and plans drawn before work commenced in our own workshops.
Today, of course, we buy most of our furniture from the best of British suppliers that we consider give us quality, design and value for money. We stock quality Upholstery from Sherborne, Vale and Alstons. Dining & Lounge Furniture from Morris, White & Newton and Sutcliffes. Beds and Mattresses from Myers, Sweet Dreams and Staples amongst others.We have one of the best displays of quality furniture and beds in the Bolton area.
Moorcroft Pottery was first introduced into the shop by Anne Green, who wanted it to enhance the furniture displays, and she was one of William Moorcroft’s earliest customers.
Moorcroft Pottery still continues to play a large part in the shops’ business and we are one of the largest stockists in the North West. We always have a range of Retired and Collectors Pieces available to view.We also stock a wide range of Poole Pottery.
