Raymond Greenaway founded Greenaway Electrics in 1966. It began in Madrid Street in the Short Strand area of Belfast. In 1981, Greenaway Electrics had outgrown its small yard, and Raymond built a large workshop and forecourt area in Lord Street where we are based today.
Detailed description:
In 1994 Raymond Greenaway, sold the business to Lesley Hector who was the owner of Alec Hector Agencies. As a business man who was more interested in the retail end of the motor trade, Lesley bought a wide range of services to Greenaway, which were already the largest and best known Auto Electrical firm in the whole of Ireland. The business was then bought over by two of the staff, who decided that they could take Greenaway Electrics much further.
Glen Ewing and Michael Ramsay bought Greenaway in 2000 and changed the name to Greenaway Auto Electrics. Their aim was to modernise the business and, not only keep up with vehicle technology, but to become a MARKET LEADER.
Greenaway Auto Electrics works with the electrical components, in all types of vehicles, with Diagnostics and Air Conditioning being our speciality. At Greenaway you can talk directly to the technician before, during and after your work is being carried out. Always just a phone call away!

Great for Electrical Problems
Stephen MillerReally good Service. Very knowledgeable when it comes to diagnostics. competitive prices. Didn't get that dreaded feeling i was going to be ripped off by them carrying out uneccesary work. Propoerly explained all that was wrong with car and went into good detail for a layman like myself. Didn't carry out any work without consulting me. Also i was able to source spare parts abroad for much cheaper and they happily let me do that and i only paid for labour. Really good outfit. Highly recommended.
