Short profile:
The Great Little Honey Company is run by husband and wife team Richard and Marieanne Lindsey. We farm our bees across Warwickshire, Staffordshire and Shropshire. We also move our bees onto the Derbyshire moors. This is where our heather honey comes from. We produce and market only honey collected from our own bees.
We supply farm shops and outlets in the area where the honey is produced. Richard has had years of experience with bees. He started keeping bees whilst still at school, and has spent his life developing his passion for bee-keeping. Richard gained his Master Bee-Keeper certificate in 1995 at the age of 27 years, winning the prestigious Wax Chandlers Award the same year.
His passion for bees is quite clear, and he is always learning and passing on this information in lectures and talks to local bee-keeping groups. From 2007 we have been rearing and selling our own bees. It has long been Richard's ambition to produce a robust and amicable bee with maximum producing capacity.
