GRASMERE HOUSE

Grasmere House is a fine example of a Victorian family residence, set in 1.5 acres of mature gardens laid largely to lawn and with magnificent, towering beech trees and small woodland fir copse.

All bedrooms in the 3-Star Grasmere House riverside Hotel have en-suite facilities, direct dial telephone, radio, terrestrial & satellite television, broadband, ironing board and hospitality tray.

Four of our bedrooms are fitted with luxurious 4-poster beds.

Our twin rooms are all equally well furnished, some with extra pull-out beds to provide triple and quadruple family accommodation.

We also have a 3-bedroom family sized apartment with separate lounge and two bathrooms.

Five rooms are discreetly arranged for disabled guests and graded by the ETB.

Conservatory Restaurant also known as "The Bistro on the River" with its spectacular views over Grasmere's gardens down to the rivers Nadder & Avon across the water meadows to Salisbury Cathedral.

The restaurant, with seating for 45 diners, has a menu which features freshly baked bread and a variety of dishes using local produce and is ever changing according to the seasons. Daily and Market Day specials feature along with themed evenings that are popular with hotel residents and regular guests from the locality.

Today's cuisine reflects traditional English food with modern eclectic influences from around the globe: featuring European, Middle Eastern, Asian, Pacific Rim, and that of the Americas with the stamp of the individuality of our Head Chef.
