Detailed description:
GONEboarding.co.uk was founded in May 2001 by Marcus Starnes, as a part-time project/hobby website. Having just started to learn snowboarding in the January of 2001, Marcus combined his new found passion for snowboarding with one of his other keen interests, software/web development (of which has remained his full-time occupation). Over the years, with the gradual implementation of various other features, the site & its community have continued to grow, and stand out as the leading UK snowboarding community.
In July 2008, GONEboarding joined the Friday Holdings group. Marcus Starnes now works on GONEboarding full-time as Technical Director and remains a shareholder, enjoying the benefits of being part of a larger group and being able to focus on the future development of GONEboarding.
