Gollifer Langston Architects is an architectural studio for commercial, education, arts, media, residential and public design. The practice was founded in 1994 by joint directors Andy Gollifer and Mark Langston and is based in central London.
The practice was formed by the directors, following their experience at high profile international firms, with a shared concern to create buildings that are legible in their form, sustainable, versatile and with a strong sense of purpose and belonging to their location - their genius loci.
Detailed description:
The studio creates buildings and spaces that enrich rather than compete with their environments. The buildings are designed to respond to their users’ current and future needs as well as their local communities and social change. Rather than designing with a determined style or form, each building is closely related to its particular context and embodies the flexibility to accommodate adaptation by its users and changing occupational requirements or working methods.
