Basically the delivery of heating oil relies on trust! most people are at work when deliveries are made or not inclined to check the amount that the delivery driver is pumping into the customer's oil tank. I have been a loyal customer of Goff Petroleum for 8 years and got a shock today when I happened to walk to the truck while the delivery driver was pumping the heating oil into my oil tank. The pump was set to 1400 litres even though I had ordered and paid for 1500 litres. I pointed out the 100 litre shortage and the driver made some lame excuse about his next drop being a building site or some other weird reply when I had rumbled his fraudulent activity. I telephoned Goff and asked to speak to a manager to get an explanation for their business practises and was told that a manager would call me but they never did. Needless to say I am now going to report Goff Petroleum to trading standards and find an alternative but honest heating oil provider.
