Short profile:
Goddards was founded in 1895 and commenced trading in High Street, King’s Lynn. The company continued to trade from the High Street site until 1987 when they relocated to the former Bird in Hand Public House in Norfolk Street, later acquiring the job centre next door and expanding into it. In 2001 the business transferred to the newly renovated site of former builders’ merchants, Crossleys, in Wellesley Street. The business was acquired by WD Coe Limited in August 2004 and continues to trade from Wellesley Street in King’s Lynn under the name of Goddards.
