GLOUCESTER ROAD PRIMARY SCHOOL

Throughout the week a range of after school activities take place including music, gymnastics, football, book club, gardening, chess and board games. All clubs are well attended and children participate in local competitions and tournaments. Trips to the local theatre, cinema and attractions further afield are a regular feature. Children in years 5 and 6 have the opportunity to attend the Playing for Success scheme at Cheltenham Racecourse each year, and Key Stage 2 children are also offered the chance to undertake residential trips at organised activity centres (PGL, Wilderness, etc.). Children also attend swimming lessons at the local pool and Year 6 children are able to have cycling lessons and take the Cycling Proficiency test.
