The Glamorgan Holiday Hotel is a hotel which is registered with the Care Standards Inspectorate of Wales to provide personal care. We specialise in providing respite care and short holiday breaks for elderly people and people with disabilities. We also provide a high care package for guests requiring hoisting etc The hotel has trained care staff available 24 hours a day. As the hotel is a charity and operates on a non profit making basis, all available resources are reinvested directly into the hotel.
Detailed description:
The hotel has a large lounge area offering comfort and panoramic views of the surrounding coastal area. The attractive restaurant, which overlooks the Bristol Channel offers waiter service and a range of meals to meet all dietary needs. There are also two sun terraces overlooking the Channel that enables guests to take full advantage of a glorious sunny day. We have an indoor smoking room which complies with current legislation. Glam "R" Us is our very own hairdressing salon, where you can be pampered during your stay. We have a bar that is open every night and during the day when requested.
During the day the hotel has stalls from local crafts, includes Welsh Crafts, homemade soaps and cards, guests can also browse our very own souvenir shop. At night there is live entertainment to suit all tastes. We have weekly Special Theme Nights and Special Theme Weeks throughout the year, including indoor sports and turkey and tinsel weeks. There are bus excursions throughout the week in our specially adapted vehicle with tail lift access. The hotel has a modern nurse call system throughout the hotel and in all bedrooms.
We have amenities to cater for people with all disabilities. There is a car park in the hotel grounds, and two lifts that will accommodate wheelchairs to all floors including the car park The hotel offers a full board package with the 14 twin and 25 single rooms. Each bedroom has its own television plus teamaking facilities which are replenished on a daily basis. Most rooms have en suite facilities (wash hand basin and toilet). All rooms are fitted with the nurse call system, to ensure help is available when needed.
