Most companies do not have the spare capacity within their organisations to carry out the work necessary to benefit from tax rebates that are available where they are carrying out research and development as part of their business activities.
In many cases companies do not realise that they are, in fact, involved in Research and Development - it has always been the assumption that this type of activity was the province of the pharmaceutical profession and space exploration.
The reality is that all unique know how and expertise that is created through a programme of research and development in the pursuit of increased business can be defined as R&D.
