Lane Castle and JER Partners are developing and regenerating Deptford’s riverside area with the intention of re-uniting the community with its historic waterfront.

The Paynes & Borthwick (P&B) Wharves development will create new homes and offices and provide local people with renewed access to landscaped, revitalised open spaces overlooking the Thames. There will also be a particular emphasis on creative and cultural initiatives.

Commercial units will be available to creative industries in the area, a public arts programme will integrate artwork into the buildings and public spaces and, during the development, around 11, 000 square feet of internal space will be available for events, shows, performances and presentation facilities for local and visiting arts organisations.

Lane Castle is a development manager with a particular focus on residential-led, mixed-use developments. The team aims to create new urban schemes that fully integrate with the local community.

The company was set up in 2006 with the intention of making a significant contribution to local residents through their urban renewal projects, an ethos which sets them apart from other residential developers.

In addition, Lane Castle has managed specific development and asset management projects, in both the public and private sectors, and assisted funds and individuals to acquire various commercial opportunities.

JER Partners is the private equity investment arm of J.E. Robert Companies, a real estate investment management company with 25 years of experience in sourcing, underwriting and managing a broad spectrum of real estate, debt products and equity.
