Bare Fiber Adaptors provide a simple and effective way to use un-terminated fibers with commerical receptacles.
Simply strip and cleave your fiber and insert it into the bare fiber adaptor. Broken fibers can be easily removed with piano wire, allowing hundreds of insertions.
Our wall-mount patch enclosures are designed for direct termination of up to 96 fibers. The WME series accommodates up to 12 modular panels and is equipped with routing guides to limit bend radius and enhance strain-relief control.
The 16-gauge steel with corrosion-resistant black powder finish coat housing provides excellent protection for the inside fibers. Wall-mount available unloaded, as well as having the capability to become a full-splice enclosure. A large variety of connector adapters are offered to meet your specific requirements.When measuring an optical fiber with an OTDR it is necessary to insert a stretch of fiber before the fiber that you want to test. The reason is, that the pulses of the OTDR needs to travel some distance before the can generate reliable measurements. It can also improve the measurements of the last connector if you connect an extra fiber at the far end of the fiber under measurement.
