'Above the World' is a unique collection of satellite images that reveal the detail, variety and fragility of the Earth in new and startlingly beautiful ways. More than 100, 000 copies have been produced with editions in 8 languages. The small format volume may still be found in some shops, but FNPA have bought the printer's remaining stock and can supply copies.
Photographs of unprecedented quality capture the world's extraordinary topography and features - natural and man-made - that characterise the surface of our planet: the sheer artistry of coastlines and meandering rivers; strange and familiar terrains that become unfathomable abstract works of art from above; the arresting presence of mountains and magnificent views of cites. The long shots covering vast areas are juxtaposed with closer-focus images of famous landmarks like the Pyramids at Giza and the Hoover Dam.
