Freeborn’s were founded in 1980 in Southampton and are one of the South’s biggest motor groups. Over 200 staff are employed across its branches in Berkshire, Surrey, Hampshire and the Isle Of Wight.
Detailed description:
We operate four Citroen dealerships in Southampton, Winchester, Wokingham and Godalming all selling and servicing new and used Citroen cars and vans. The Southampton site also has approved workshops for both Skoda and Hyundai. Our factory on the Isle Of Wight operates as ‘Romahome Ltd’ and as ‘Special Vehicle Projects’ (SVP).
The former build the award winning Romahome range of motorhomes, all built on Citroen base vans. The latter specialises in commercial vehicle conversions specifically targeting glass fibre ‘transformer tops’ on a range of pick – ups.
It also produces many of the ‘meals – on – wheels’ vehicles used by local authorities throughout the UK.
